MR CRESSWELL ATTACKS THE GOVERNMENT. (By Cable.—Prere Association. —Copyright) (Received February 10th, 11.5 p.m.) CAPE TOWN, February 10. In the Assembly, Mr Cresswell moved an amendment declining to condone the deportation of citizens without trial, and asking for a searching investigation by a Commission, of which the Chief Justice would be president. His discursive attack on the Government, which is unfinished, occupied all the sitting. Hβ accused the Government of being in league with the- mine owners to irritate the workers into a general strike. The Minister tabled a return dealing with 38 secret outrages committed or attempted during the crisis in January, including three explosions on the railway, twelve instances of dynamite being found on railway lines, and four dynamite explosions.
