SHIPPING NOTES.
Running under tho auspices of tie New Zealand Shipping Company, tho Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Karamea, arrived at Lyttelton, from Wellington yesterday morning. When she ha» put out' the Lyttelton portion of her cargo, the vessel will go on to Dunedin to complete discharge. The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Otaki will, after completing discharge at Wellington of her London cargo, sail for Napier to-morrow. The vessel will then visit Gisborne, Tokomaru Bay, and Lyttelton, being duo at this port on February "Bth. She will arrive at Wellington on February 12th, and leaves that port for London on February 14th. Discharging operations on the Shaw Savill liner lonic being well forward, it is expected that the veseel will arrive at Lyttelton on Wednesday—a day earlier than was anticipated. , The American four-manted schooner Salem completed discharge of her cargo of timber from Puget Sound on Saturday, and was towed into the stream. With the first favourable wind the vessel will proceed to Newcastle to load coal for the west coast of America. Upon arrival at Port Chalmcre on February 7th from Sydney, via Wellington and Lyttelton, the Union Company's intercolonial steamer Manuka is to be withdrawn until tho 25th for eurvcy. Her trip to Melbourne will be taken by the Warrimoo, which will leave Dunedin on February Bth/. The Warrimoo'a running in the Eest Coast service- will be taken by tho Maitai, which will leave Dunedin for Auckland on February 6th. When the Lyttelton portion of her cargo of case oil has been unloaded, the eteamer Volga, at present under charter to the Vacuum Oil Company, will proceed to Wellington to complete discharge. The vessel will then load wool for London at North Island ports for the New /icalasd Shipping Company.
