Tho Bishop of London, in view of tho situation in Ulster, has authorised the reading .of a Collect next Sunday "for deliverance from tho serious dangers of discord threatening us in Ireland." A solemn service of intercession has also been authorised, introducing the Litany prayer for preservation against the calamity of civil war. Tho Bishop of Durham and tho leaders of various Nonconformist Churches have issued an inter-denominational appeal for prayers next Sunday "for peace in Ireland and South Africa, wisdom in the rulers, and a spirit of brotherly love among the people."
