"ONE OP THE BEST."
A prominent Otago sheep man who was judging at the Show wsis immensely pleased with the Show generally, and particularly so. with the sheep, which ho characterised as. in his opinion, one of the best that had ever been on tho ground. "To say that," he added, "is equivalent to saying that it is tho best show of sheep in New Zealand, and I beliei-e it is. Lately 1 have been judging up at some shows in the North Islanu, and, with the exception of the Romney there" is nothing to touch the Christchurch Show, .so far as cheep are concerned. Here you have the variety of breeds, all of which are excellent, and beautifully brought out, but, of course, men lite Messrs \V. Perry and E. Short have little to loam in tho bringing out of the breeds thoy favour."
