FRENCH CHAMBER NEGATIVES PROPOSAL.
(By Cable.—Press Association— Copyright.) PAIILS, November 12. The Chamber negatived a proposal to give Parliamentary votes to women, by 311 votes to 133. ("Time* , '-Sydney "Sun" Special Cable.) (Received November 13th, 6.20 p.m.) PARIS, .November 12. Amongst the arguments used in the Chamber of Deputies against granting the franchise to women were that they were too susceptible to clerical influence, thus endangering the .republican regime.
