4 Whilst engaged in shunting operations at Rangiora yesterday, a railway porter named Charles Clark met with a painful accident, one of hi« feet being crushed from the instep to tho toes through the engine passing over it. Ho was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital last evening. (special to "the tress.") KAIKOURA, November-13. A waggon, with five horses, driven by Edward Goodall, of Kaikoura, was going to Parnassus to bring back flour, when it went over the bank on the Hundalee road, near Vincent's. One horse was killed, hut Goodall was uninjured.
