POULTRY, PIGEON AND . CANARY ASS OCIATION. ,— # < ANNUAL MEETING OF THE SOUTH ISLAND ASSOCIATION. The annual meeting of this Association was held in the Christchurch Poultry Club's room last evening. The president, Mr E. J. Ross, occupied the chair, and the following delegates were present:—Messrs T. H. Jones, Otago Game Fowl Club; Amos, Ashburton ; G. E. Jeffreys, Tapanui; A. Menzie.s, Oaraaru; H. Beardslev, Christchurch Poultry Club; J. W. Bishop, North Canterbury ; It. C. Wells, Christchurch Canary Club; i>. Dacre, Picton; A. "Walker, Granity; N. Pearce, Kaitangata.
The application of the Kaitangata' Poultry Club for affiliation was granted. The balance-sheet, which showed a balance of £40 Is Id, was adopted, as was the annual report. Tho rules of tho Association were added to and revised. The election of officers rpsulted as follows:—President, Mr E., J. Ross (re-elected); vice-presidents, ; Mossrs C Matheson (Southland), P. Curolin (Duuedin), S. K. Burns (Timaru), M. Amos (Ashburton), M. A. Sowman (Picton). J. H. Hopkins (Granity): councillors, Messrs G. JS. Jeffreys, H. Beardsley, and A. 13., Menzies: secretary and treasurer, Mr J. H. Shaw: lion, auditor. V. Bidwell. | Championships were alloted to' Minorcas. Black Leghorns. Brown Leghorns. Modern and Old English game, aiacpies. dragoons, owls, yellow Norwch ; and buff Norwich canaries (uon-colour-fed). It was decided that the Championship Show. 1914. be held in conjunction with the Christchurch Show.
