TALBOT'S PATENT SAFETY STEPS.

The exhibit, of this new enterprise opposite the judge _ stand in tho Implement Department, farms an attr_ctivo and remarkable display. A level floor has hitherto been indispensable to the 6at"o use of a pair of steps. Here, however, we see lofty steps or? all descriptions spread oyer an ordinary gra<_ paddock, all standing firmly on their own basis and requiring not'the -lightest packing. Tho tower steps, so-called on account of their height and stability, are tho first to be noticed. These are constructed with hand-rails on either side, which aro arranged to serve as reinforcements and braces. Tho toj. are much wider than the ordinary form allows, and some of them are fitted with a stago or platform at the top step and can bo folded and carried under tho arm without undue effort. Other smaller ones have, a similar conr venience so arranged that all the parts are folded by ono movement. A combination pair of steps and extension ladder .suitable for outdoor use, reliable and simple to operate, will commend itself for general utility. They ar© strong and easily handled.* Attention should also bo called to the excellent finish of the stained and varnished camples shown—and the uniformly fine quality of the materials used. TJu's firm claims to be the only makers of steps that will stand firm on uneven ground. All their steps are fitted yfiih their Patent Self-folding pivoted struts, and are known as MTalbot's Patent Steps.'' The -18--ciency of these Talbot Steps is demonstrated by the nature of the ground on which they arc displayed. No matter how uneven the surface. Talbot's'Steps stand "as firm as a rock," and there is absolutely no risk of anyono using them falling. Everyone attending the Show should eco this exhibii.
