Bates, Government Meteorologist, supplied the following weather summary and forecast at 6 p.m. yesterday.— The winds changed to strong southerlies everywhere during Tuesday night, and the weather has been equally and showery and much colder generally to-day. The.barometer has risen nearly everywhere. Present indications are for cool, changeable, and Bhowery weather, with, strong but decreasing southerly winds. The barometer is likely to rise further, especially in tne North, but fall again in the South shortly.
