A deputation of Newcastle miners and wharf labourers intends to ask the Minister of Labour to prevent steamers loaded in New Zealand from coming to Australia during the New Zealand striko, with a view to preventing the strike extending to the Commonwealth. Tho New Zealand timber aboard the Kamona was unloaded at Newcastle, and the vessel then took 2200 tons of coal for Port Chalmers.
