A number of interesting sections were decided, including the Church Choir contest (three- tests). The - Feilding Methodist won by ten points. The only other competitor was the Grafton road ; Methodist (Auckland). Results:— Piano Solo (under 21, for those who had not won first prize at previous competitions), test, Beethoven's "Sonata in D minor": Gwen Shepherd (Kilbirnie) 126, Nellie- Bc_nett 123., Humorous Recital (girls. Tinder 16, own selection): Zita Chapman (Hutt) 116, SylviaTJdy (Petone) 112, Hazel Jeffery 109.
