BURNSIDE MARKET.

(r__SS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) DUNEDIN, -.November 12. There was a large yarding of fat cattle at Burnside to-uay, 248 being penned. These comprised, for the most part, good quality bullocks, with a few pens of medium to good heifers. Prices were from 10s.to 15s per head easier than last week's rates. Prime heavy bullocks mado £13 10s to £15, extra to £19 2s 6d, medium £12 to £13, light £9 to £10 10s, prime heifers and cows £9 10s to £10 10s, medium £8 10s to £9, light and unfinished £6 10s to £6. There was. a medium yarding of fat sheep, 2190 being penned. Owing to the small yarding last week butchers' stocks were low, and there was a buoyant sale for all classes, but values wero scarcely up to the exceedingly high prices ruling last week. The sale opened with prices about Is per head below last week's rates, and this drop continued throughout, the prices lor medium quality and wethers showing a greater decrease in somo instances towards the end of the sale. Best wethers made 29s to 335, extra to 36s 6d, medium to good 25s to 28s, others 23s 6d to 24s Cd, extra good ewes to 35s 3d, medium 245, light and unfinished 21s, shorn wethers 20s to 23s 3d, extra to 265. One hundred and seventy fat lambs were yarded. In consequence 'of the large entry, prices wero from Is to 2s easier than last week's quotations. Best made 15s 6d to l<s 6d, extra to 20s 3d, medium and unnnished 14s. " AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE. (FB_-S association' telegram.)
