Thomas Mackenzie, High Commissioner for New Zealand, in an interview on tho naval policy, said that on more than one occasion oversea High Commissioners had failed to obtain admission to the Distinguished Strangers' Gallery in the Houso of Commons on the occasion of important debates. He argues that oversea official representatives should at least havo as good a position as foreign ambassadors.
