It is evident that the employers in Dublin are combining against Air Larkin's Union, holding that this is not an ordinary a.ritation. but a challenge to society w_ich must be suppressed with a stroirj hand. Air Lark in told his followers that any man o'arving while there was food and clothing in tho shops was a damned idiot. A number of firms have dismissed all his followers from their staffs, and their example is certain to be followed by city and country firms. FURTHER~RIOTTNG. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.) DUBLIN, September 2. The police near Jacob and Son's factory wero fiercely stoned for two and a half hours. They constantly charged tho crowd, which also attempted to tear up the tramline in several places. Tho disorders continued until midnight. The total number of casualties in connection with the riots is 740. COAIAIITTEE OF ENQUIRY. LONDON, September 2. Tho Trade Union Congress at Alanchoster is sending a committee to Dublin to address meetings in favour of free speech and to enquire into tho violence alleged to havo been exercised by the police. . RIOTERSFINED. TRANSPORT WORKERS LOCKED OUT. ("Times"-Sydr.ey "Sun" Special Cable.) (Received September 3rd, 6.5 p.m.) LONDON, September 2. A largo number of people, bearing evidences of fighting, wero fined in the Dublin police court. Tho Coal Alerchants' Association is locking out members of tho Transport Workers' Union. It has no objection to any union acting in a lawful manner,, but bars the Transport Union. This involves tho dismissal of many hundreds of men.
