LYTTELTON RESIDENT'S PURCHASE. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received June 6th, 8.30 p.m.) SYDNEY. June 6. Mr J. E. Davenport, of Lyttelton, N.Z., has purchased, through Dalgety and Company Ltd., 10,735 square miles of grazing country in) tho Northern Territory, paying £100,000 deposit. It is reported that subsequently ho received an offer for the land by which •he would have cleared £40,000 on the transaction.
