FRUIT AND VEGETABLES.
Fniit values keep firm for all classes of fruit. Shipments of Rarotongan oranges and bananas arrived this week, and met with a very good demand. Uananas brought 9s Gd to 11s per case, and oranges 8s 6d to 10s per case, according to quality and condition. Mildura lemons arc worth 12s 6d, pines 11s to 13s, passion fruit IDs, and mandarins 14s, all at per case. Local apples are very firm. Prime dessert sorts are worth 6s to 7s 6d, cookers, os Gd to 7s, pear's. , sood dessert, os 6d to 7k 6d. and cooking sorts 4s 6d to 0s Gd. The supply of vegetables is good, and they sell at late rates. Cauliflowers are worth 3s to os 6d per dozen, and cabbages Is Gd to 3s.
