Adopted. Tho Finance Committee reported that Cγ. Dalziel had been appointed chairman, and recommended that ratepayers in arrears be given seven days' notice, and that proceedings be then taken for recovery of rates. Adopted. Mr Ramsay wrote asking the Council to modify its by-law re drain connections to tho conditions that tho Christchurch Drainage Board's new by-law required. Referred to Sanitary Committee. An application from tho Board of Governors of tho Technical College for a grant to tho funds was referred to the Finance Committee for report. Reports regarding b.Vaches of by-lrj\vs by builders and drain connectors were referred to tho By-laws Committee. The Hospital Board asked payment of a levy of £273 17s lid. Received. The Returning Officer for the combined Boroughs of Lyttelton, New Brighton, Sumner. and Woolston notified that it would bo necessary for tho combined Boroughs to appoint a representative in the stead of tho lato Mr Cook ( . The Mayor was appointed to act as tho borough representative. T>r. Fox offered his services as tho representative of the combined Boroughs. Received. Tho Woolston Amateur Swimming Club suggested Improvements to the baths for next season. Referred to Baths Committee.
