SOUTHBRIDGE.
.A narrow escapo from what would hare boon a serious fire occurred at ■Soubhbridgo on Saturday evening, when a quantity of fab caught fire in tho oven of tho Southbridge Hotel. The ilames caught tho woodwork at the back of the kitchen, but were extinguished beforo any serious damage was done. The fire brigade was called out, but their services wcro not required.
