RIOTS AT ST. LEONARDS.

SUFFRAGETTES BADLY HANDLED. LONDON, May 15. For two hours there was a riot at St. • Leonards in connection with an auction ealo of tho goods of two ladies for refusing to pay taxes. Suffragettes in procession, with decorated 'cars, and bearing flags. A hostile crowd of two thousand pelted thorn with eggs, flour, and filth, destroyed tho banners, and overturned tho carriages, throwing cut four suffragottea. Tho crowd tried to pull off their clothing. The police with difficulty rescued and sheltered the women in a blacksmith's shop. The auction salo was abandoned.
