COUNTRY SCHOOL CHILDREN.

TO THE EDITOR 01" "THE rBESS."

Sir.—lt unfortunately happens that an excursion has been arranged on the Cheviot branch railway, and also for the districts north of Waikari, on the 14 tit (Children's Day). As many adults aro likely to take advantage of the opportunity, and accompany tho children of their school, there is likely to bo great disappointment, since I notico that no adults except those nocessarily in chargo of tho children are to bo allowed on board the vessel. Also, from tho programme announced, it would appear as if there will be no time for avon the children of the northern schools. I trust this difficulty will, in somo way be obviated.— Yours, etc., TV. F. PAXNETT. Scargill, May 10th.
