The "Morning Post" states that it is hoped the principal liners trading to Australia, Canada, and South Africa will shortly be armed, the Admiralty providing the guns and possibly a hundred rounds of ammunition per ship. The gun crews will bo mostly naval reservists. The Admiralty will pay the gun crews an extra threepence per day, and the gunlayers ninepence. Naval reserve officers at tho terminal ports to be responsible for the training.
