RAKAIA.
On Friday evening, a pleasant gathering of the friends of Mt- Geo. S. Hardy was held at the Railway Hotel, to present Mc Hardy with some token of esteem from the various sportinr bodies in which ho had taken so much interest. Mr Miiler, on behalf of the sporting clubs, presented Mr Hardy a hond-omc maib.'e timepiece suitably inscribed.
