(Before Mr T. A. B. Bailey, S.M.) For boin_; on licensed premise., dur-

ing the currency of a prohibition order W. Perry was fined £1 and costs. For allowing a prohibited person on his premises W. Parkin, licensee of the Bruce Hotel, was fined 10s and costs. W. Fergus was fined 6s and costs for allowing a cow to stray. The Akaroa County" Council laid four informations against W. Bruorton and F. W. Johnstone for breaches of the motor by-laws for driving round corners at a speed exceeding six. miles. an hour. Mr .Williams appeared for plaintiff and Mr Johnstone for defendants. The evidence proved that defendants on April 24th last, when returning from Okain's Bay, had indulged in racing on tho Duvauchelle andT Barry's Bay road, where the view was obscured and dangerous to traffic. Defendants pleaded guilty, and were each fined £6 and costs. The case A. Hayward v. A. Lelievre, a claim for board, was dismissed.
