SOME STORMY EXPERIENCES.
The -ale on the coast .spent its longcontinued force on Monday attcrnoon, nnd the weather is now calm, although there is .till « heavy swell running TLu> barometer commenced to tall ronidlv yesterday afternoon however, and there was every indication ot Sore' bad weather. The krry "earner Maori mado a goocl run dow from Wellington, and arrived in port at 7.5 a.m., the heavy sea in Cook Strait and in the vicinity of Cape Campbell having delayed her only about 20 minutes. One by one the belated colliers and cargo boats are inaKing their appearance in harbour, and all report having had a very bad time at sea in the gale.
