ASHBURTON.
Tho annual meeting of the Ashburton County Ministers' Association was hold on Monday, tho president, the Rev. G. B. Inglis, in the chair. The Rev.- Karl Schmidt, a missionary from New Britain, was amongst those present, and received a oordial welcome. A paper on "The State of tho Church" was read by the Rev. T. R. B. Woolloxall, and the Rev. J. R. Burgin was invited to contribute a paper for discussion at the next meeting.
