ELLESMERE
A special meeting of the ICllesmere County Council was held on Friday, at which nineteen tenders wero received for various works. Tho following wero the successful tenderers:—Delivering 300 cubic yards of shingle at Brookside, T. Jackman; delivering 150 cubic yards of shingle on Collett's road, T. Jackman; cleaning Doyleston main drain, 4} miles, H. Arthur; cleaning Doyleston drain 2J miles, F. A. Franks; cleaning Allan's road drain, 1-J- miles, H. Arthur; cleaning Leeston drain, 1 mile. G. Laurence; Lake road drain, offered under certan conditions to John McDermott; Beetham road drain, cleaning and widening, offered under certain, conditions to T. Jackman.
