The Primo Minister (tho Hon. W. F. Massey) finished ids Canterbury tour on Saturday and left by the lato steamer for Wellington. His final day, to be in keeping with tho rest of the tour, was of a particularly strenuous charactor in tho matter of distance covered though not quito so tiring as preceding days in regard to public oratory. Hv left tho Clarendon Hotel at 7.30 in tho morning and reached Hanmer at ono o'clock; left again at about four in the afternoon and reached town a little before eight o'clock. His public utterances of tho day were made at Hawarden and at Hanmor, and included several definite utterauces on policy points.
