Douglas Lysnar, of Gisborne. who is in town on business connected '•with tho New Zealand Producers' Association, intends leaving for Dunedla to-day. .Mr J. Reid, second clerk in the Magistrate's Court, Christchurch, has been appointed clerk of the courts at Clyde and Cromwell (Central Utago), and will leave Christchurch next week. Mr Napier, on behalf of the employees of the Spreydon Borough Council," presented Mr M. W. v.ootitield (the retiring town clerk) with a travelling bag suitably inscribed. Mr Woodfield thanked tho employees for same and for the respect always shown to him in the execution of his duties. A farewell social to Mr Robert H. Johnstone, and a presentation of an illuminated address was made to Mr Veitch. A musical programme was givton during the evening.
