Insurance stocks had less enquiry, but buyers came in for Standards at 31s 6d. Hikurangx Coals are easier, being offered at 15s, but 13s was mc baying rate yesterday. Several sales were mifde of Northern Coal at lls 2d, *t which figure there are still buyers, while Ttapina had a steady demand at 23s 6d. Union Steams wore offered at 445, but they dropped to 425. Auckland Trams (ordinary issue) were enquired for at the late call yesterday at 24s 9d but sellers demanded the even 255. J.ew Zealand Cement chares have beep wanted at 17s 6d. but for Wilron (ordinary issue* 29s 6d was offered. New Zealand Paper shares v.-ere ofTered yesterday at ISs 6d.
