Tho Canterbury players have all been performing well in grade matches, and their practice form has been very convincing, so that a really interesting game may be looked forward to. Tho team originally selected was. perhaps tho strongest that could have been chosen to represent Canterbury, but a -J change has been necessary owing to the fact that J. Bennett, who strained himself a fortnight ago, is unable to play. ■ His place-will bo taken by S. A. Orchard, whose batting and howling m.
