CANADIAN GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS.
A CONTRACTOR IMPRISONED. OTTAWA, February 21. Parliament debated for two days on the case of Mr R. -Millar, a contractor, who refused to answer how ho spent largo sums to secure Government contracts. Ho wa_ ordered to be imprisoned within tho precincts of tho House. After two days ho was still contumacious and was ordered to bo imprisoned in tho common gaol during Parliament's pleasure.
