Mr R. Macdonald attacked the Premier's decision. A great principle was at stake. Did Mr Boiden pretend to know more of naval matters t.han Lord Charles Bercsford, or oven Premier Fisher? Instead of her duty as Australians did, Canada proposed to give up ijjor status as a nation in the Empire, and become subservient to the Imperial Council.
