Tho weather was - fine but dull for Saturday's matches, and the wickets were in splendid order. Iliccarton surprised their supporters by staying in all the afternoon against St. Albans, a. fine century by "Whitta being a feature of the Mnings, which realised 391. Sydenham got a substantial lead over West Ohrfetchurch, whilst East Christchurch are in a good position against Linwood.
