Tho following is a copy of a cable received by Dalgety arid Co.. Ltd., Christchurch, from their London office, ' dated London, sth February:—"Sheep- j skins: Sales opened very firm. Prices of crossbred skins arc higher by fully id per lb. Prices of merino sheepskins are rather dearer. Tallow: Sinco our last cable, prices of good colour mixed or beof tallow are unchanged. ! Mixed tallow, dull colour, good body, ' is par to 3d higher.
