The charges for higher education will be increased shortly by 12. per cent, in the case of tuition alone, and five per cent, in the case of hoarders. The Church of England Grammar School, the Scotch College, Wesley College and Geelong have taken the initiative. The ladies' colleges, except the Methodist, aro also increasing their charges. It is explained that tho reason of the increases is to alloiv of teachers receiving bettor remuneration.
