CANADIAN NAVAL POLICY.

In the House of Commons, Mr L. Thompson, member for Qu'Appelo, In continuing tho naval debate, said ho Avas not inclined to believe that the Empire was in any ivay endangered by Germany's aggression. Germany and Japan had been flirting lately, therefore tho real place for battleships was in the Pacific. He ridiculed the idea that by placing a fleet in the Pacific it was likely to lead to separation. If the Empire wero over destroyed, such a disaster would bo due to ultra-Im-perialists nnd Jingoes. The tighter ono drew the bonds of Empire the more likely they were to break.
