ACCOUNT OF THE ACCIDENT.
..It now appears that Mr Highet was not bathing with his. sister-in-law, but was some fifty yards away. The reason for this may lio in the fact that ho was not wearing a full costume, but trunks only. Mrs Highet had been in difficulties for some little time, and her screams had. drawn the attention of Mrs Webley, who afterwards took charge of tho children. TIIC3' were heard by the lad Ford also, who went to Mr Highet, who was in shallow water some fifty yards away. The case of the deceased was desperate, probably, before even assistance was summoned. '
