MOUNT LYELL DISASTER.
Doctor Love, in a paper dealing with th© North Mount Lyell disaster, said a largo number of victiiins lay peacefully with thrii- heads pillowed on their arms and their bodies composed as for sleep. Others were standing in th© air boxes, and tho air was playing on their dead faces. Their ©yes wero bright, their checks rosy, and their lips as cherry rod as those of healthy infants.
Ih\ Purdy, chief health officer of Tasmania, stated that a probable result of the disaster would be a recommendation similar to that of the Transvaal Mining Regulations Commission of 1910 throughout Australasia, to inclndo the provision of one oxygen knapsack and pump ainnask and two oxygen breathing apparatus of approved typ© to each miner.
