PROPOSED CREAMERY FOR LOBURN.
A public meeting e>f farmers was held at North lioburn recently to decide on opening a creamery. Thero were about fifty farmers present. Mr J. ¥. Hiatt was in the chair, and explained a schemo for promoting dairy farming and the advantage of starting a creamery in tho district. He asked for somo expression as to tho number of cows that could be found.
About ono humired and twenty cows wore ascertained to bo available.
..-Mr C. H. Ensor said he was making arrangements for a largo byro of cows, and thought that dairying was tho most profitable industry tbo district could take up? He would liko to see the relative value of a creamery and homo separators well enquired into. He believed the Dairy Department was opposed to tho latter, but it was finding favour in certain districts.
