TO THE KDITOII OF "THE PRESS."

Sir,—l wits interested in your article of 6th inst., on the subject of glass eponges as I have in my possession a specimen of marine glass, of which the following is a description:—A conicalshaped piece of white' sponge from the apex oi which a number of very tine filaments of pure glass have grown to a height of nine inches. The filaments are clear and bright, and form a compact mass of the thickness of an ordinary lead pencil, and with a slightly spiral tendency. The spongo foundation is impregnated with glass filaments throughout.—Yours, etc.. KEEI'A.
