PRISONERS SENTENCED.
(PHES3 ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, January 13. The Chief Jnstico (Sir Robert Stout) to-day sentenced William P. Wilson, who was employed in tho Public Works Department at Whangamomona, to twelve mouths' imprisonment, with hard labour, on charges of forgery and one charge of forgery and uttering. John . tSweeney, who had been previously convicted, was also sentenced to twelve months. Thomas O'Brien, an old man. was sentenced to nine months' imprisonment, with hard labour, on a charge of theft at Wanganui, and Jas. Mclniosh, on a similar charge, received nine months' imprisonment, and was declared an habitual criminal.
