FARMER'S "WIFE SHOT.

OX'S CALLOUS CRIME

SYDNEY, January 13

A shocking tragedy is reported from Copmanhurst. Mrs Lloyd, the wife of a far ncr, admonished an ex-State youth in her employ named Lindsay. aged twenty, whereupon, he shot her dead. The tragedy occurred when the woman was going milkinc at four o'clock in the morning. Lindsay dragged the body to the house, and then wrote to his sister living in Sydney:—"Just shot Mrs Lloyd dead; pray God forgive me." He then went to a neighbour's house and related the occurrence, and was on his way to surrender to tho police when he was arrested.
