We received the following letter Inst niglit from Mr Walter Hill, chairman of the Christchurch Wool Buyers' Association, with cheque enclosed:—-"I attach hereto cheque'value £50 being amount subscribed at to-day's sale by wool buyers and tho Christchurch woolbrokers towards the fund for Mrs Atkinson."
This handsome amount was collected by Mr Hill during the progress of the wool sale yesterday, and he met with a ready response to his appeal. The fact that the late Mr Atkinson was a Yoi-kshireroan specially appealed to a large section of the wool buyers presoat. .
