(press association temcgrau.) WELLINGTON, January 13. At a meeting of the Public Service t - Superannuation Board, leave of absencu ■ was granted to Mr G. Allport (Secr<j- ~ tary of Murine), and H. W. Bishop, S.M. An application from a fate member or the Police Force was dealt with as to an increase of retiring allowance on account of injuries received whilo in the execution of his duty. The JJoard de- ■■ cided that the medical evidence did not justify the request being granted. An opinion of the Solicitor-General ;■ ■was receive relative to the elaiine of*- ,- widows to the balance of compensation duo to their lato husbands. Tho opinion was to the effect that their claims ■ to such compensation ivero legal. The report of tho Public Trustee on tho state of tho fund on December 31ri r ' 1912, was read. ' The report stated that, ' on that date.the amount of credit was £410,918 18s 7d, being an increase on tho same date laet year of fiSt.l3B 5* lid. . The totals of retiring allowances and annuities to widows and children passed by tho Board aro as followerOrdinary, £2257 9s; medically unfit£3o2 14s; eight widows and seven, children, £230; total, £2800 .'Js.
