_Tlio Union Steam 6hin Company's Navua will run an excursion to Akaroa to-day on arrival at Lyttelton of tho 8.15 a.m. train from Christchurch. Tlie steamor will remain at Akaroa the whoio of the afternoon.
A sports' gathering will be hold at HalsTvell to-day, commencing at 10.30 a.m.
