Sir,—May I, through your columns, briefly but earnestly aek the city and suburban police to strictly carry out the by-law re. letting off crackers and other abominations in the streets during; the Christmas and New Year festivities, and not wait until some fearful and fatal ' accident results therefrom. \Vhether or no, may this be a warning to the" larrikins who would certainly not relish spending their Christmas or New Year's aay in the lock-up.—Yours etc., PREVENTION.
