RECEPTION OF THE GOVERNOR.
The'heartiness of the reception accorded to the new Governor, Lord Liverpool, and to Lady Liverpool, by the citizens of Auckland and Wellington, is, we feel
sure, reflected in tho cordiality of feelinc of residents in other parts of the Dominion not yet visited by their Excellencies. The refutation which has preceded them is such as to inspire the conviction that Xew Zealand is fortunate in the selection which, has been made of the successors to Lord and Lady Islington. We trust that their Excellencies will find a good deal to interest them during their residence in New Zealand, and that they will always bo able to look back upon the period as a very ple-asant and fruitful chapter in the story of their lives.
