SUMMARY AND FORECAST.
Mr D. C. Bates, Government Meteorologist, lupplied the following weather summary and forecast at 5 p.m. yesterday: — A small area passed in the South last niefht, the wind changing to southerly over the South Island. Srually conditions have boen experienced in parts, especially in the South. Tho weather has been unsettled gonerally, with scattered showers. Present indications are for changeable weather, cloudy and mi9ty at times, with showers and electrical disturbances in parts. The barometer has a rising tendency, and moderate to strong southerly winds aro probable, but decreasing barometric pressure is likely to follow again soon, and the winds change to northerly and westerly and increase in force.
