The Hon, F. H. D. Bell left Wellington for Nelson yesterday to open a new building erected by tho Nelson Institute, which was founded in 1842. Ho is due back in Wellington on Sunday. The Hon. F. M. B. Fisher, Minister of Marino and of Customs, was occupied during yesterday in departmental business. Mr Fisher intends staying in Christchurch for a day or two.* Mrs Fisher arrived in Christchurch yesterday. Professor Park was a passenger by the Maori from Wellington yesterday morning. Colonel Hay hurst arrived from Wellington yesterday morning. Tho Rev. Father Korley was a passenger for the South by tho first express yesterday. Mr Hnrst Soager left for tho South by tho first express yesterday Captain McDougall arrived from tho South by the second express yesterday. P. L. Hallenstein, W. Izard, T d *i.
