I CONSTANTINOPLE, November 12. ! When the Turkish warship Masudia I shelled tho vicinity of Rodosto, tho ! Greeks and Armenians became panic- ■ stricken, nnd, fearing a massacre, took J refuge in the Consulate. A feeble and dispirited Turkish garrison occupied tho trenches around Rodosto. The fight lasted all tho i afternoon. ' The Bulgarians are steadily approaching tho town. (Received November 14th, 12.35 a.m.) CONSTANTINOPLE, November 13. : In reference to Turkey's appeal for 1 mediation, tho Powers informed the j Porto that tho Balkan Allies were ready to hear suggestions regarding the basis of peace. Turkey replied that the Balkan Allies initiated the war, and ought to be tho first to declare what they demand. The Hibernia and other -warships havo reached Smyrna. SOFIA, November 12. The Turkish prisoners working on the construction of the railway connecting the arsenal and the main line, and ; making ammunition waggons, are being paid a franc a day.
